Take Me Away

Take Me Away
by ShawnQt

Take me away,
To laying in bed by moonlight,
And sensual kisses that last all night.
To falling in your arms,
And feeling no harm.

Would you take me away?

From nightmares to dreams,
To emotions that bend reality.
Where one kiss is all I need to breathe,
And exhaling you is a high that never wants to leave.

Could you take me away?

With your smile that ignites hope,
With your eyes that explores my soul,
With your lips, it just tells me things,
With your tug-a-rope, I hold on to your string.

As you take me away…

This is you and me, who would have thought.
If this feeling is wrong, let me be caught.
In you, I would hold you so tight,
Until God made it for us to be right.

Take me away.

And let me feel wanted by you,
As if I am the only one standing in the room.
Appreciate me, like I would appreciate you,
And I would stay…

So that you can Take Me Away.

[you feeling the poem, huh?]

I was watching the Noah's Arc repeat this weekend, and like the romantic I am, I fell in love with the scene of Wade getting Noah's recently sold car back, filled with flowers & lights. To say I love you for the first time, while flowers fall from the sky, I don't know about you, but I was feeling it HARD! I miss being romantized by a prince charming.

I felt it strong once, when my "then" boyfriend had moved to Chicago for a summer program. We was only together for 3 months, and I was really sad to see him go, and to not see him for 2 months was hard. The relationship was still new, and I just wanted to be with him. So one night, I was on the phone with him, and he was telling me how much he loved me, and I told him how much I missed him, and he told me to look out towards the moon...

As I looked at the moon, and looked down, and there he was in the back of my house parking lot, on top of the car, waving to me on his cellphone! "What are you doing here!", I replied. I ran downstairs, out the door, and ran straight to his arms, kissing him all over. I was so happy to see him. It is a beautiful moment, I will always treasure.

Only wish that, one day, it will happen again. Anyone else have any romance stories?
[thanks L]

  • OH yeah, About Noah's Arc... I'm not so sure about this show. It's taking me a while to get into it, due to the poor acting. But the writing is great. Its intentions are good and, I guess serves its purpose, but it's taking a while for it to grow on me.

  • That's a hot little piece of poem you got there.

What you "Then" boyfriend did for you was pretty damn cool. I know I would had been swooned if someone where to do that to me. Too bad it only lasted a few months, hopefully it was good while it lasted.

  • Real quick about Noah's Arc, I wish people would stop hating! The show is the bomb people think the acting is horrible, only because the yell at the T.V. oooh I hate him, why he do that. Well if you get any impression at all than they are acting!
Ok, now that I got that out, it's funny how you mention chicago because I was recently wined and dined there about two weeks ago.

  • i loved the poem...

you know something your posts speak much of your character with regards to being romantically involved with that special one...and i appreciate your approach to it and your commitment to yourself and to the person at when involved...

alot of these bruthas, or i should say bastards out here don't have a clue about the role they, or their partners, should play with regard to romantics...

    you have a good heart...

  • Romance is what you make it to be. You should never "fall" in love, because love was only meant to be ascending. After that lesson is mastered...then true romance can be fully revealed.

  • Thanks for your comments on my blog. I appreciate that. I hope I continue to write things that you will enjoy.

I enjoyed reading your poem and I'm sort of a romantic too and loved the story of you and your friend.

A romantic story that came to my mind was a 1st date I had. My date picked me up to take me to lunch. He wouldn't tell me where we were going. We were driving for awhile and then he stopped at LA's airport. I was thinking we were having lunch there. He flew us to San Francisco for lunch and a little shopping. It was a nice surprise and great date!

  • nice story and poem. i am a helpless romantic and i love expressing myself through lyrics and songs, so one time i made a CD for a lover i was involved with 5 yrs ago and the next day he called me up and was like.."yo, it was like you were speaking to me through the speakers, how did you pick so many songs that had to do what we were going through, i was so touched," etc and etc..

needless to say i had plenty of ass the nights after that cd was made.
