Night Out on the Town

Me and boyfriend went out on our first date since we got back together on Saturday. I really wanted to take him out somewhere we both never been too. Some place classy and entertaining was my goal. I was going to pay for everything, and not let him know where we was going until we got there.

I took the train up to Brooklyn, NY to pick him up, and we took the subway up to Times Square. I took him to this spot on 42nd street called, BB King's Blues Club & Grill. It's mostly a venue for musical artist, but they have a restaurant area with live entertainment called Lucille's Grill. They have southern food there, so I knew it would be something we both like. Ribs and Pig, Holla!

"The inside of Lucille's Grill"

"Get anything you want on the menu", I said.
He smiled. I felt he wasn't trying to break my pockets, so he didn't go all out and get the most expensive thing on the menu. The menu was already pretty high, but it was more about the experience then anything. The band started playing around the end of our meal, it was a really romantic setting. The only thing that sucks about being gay is that we have to be mindful of public affection. It's hard to really get into the experience when you have to worry about what other people think. I wanted to hold his hand while we talked, wipe food off his face. We had a good time anyway.

After that, we went to Toys R US, LOL.
I'm telling you, we are some grown azz kids. I love being youthful, and treasuring the things that made us both love life as a child, but we are both very mature and take care of adult business when need be. The Toys R US venture was not part of the plan, but we had to check and see if they had anything new.

[I was looking for a professor x marvel legend action figure, and of course all the scalpers grabbed him all out]

So after that, we went to see...

Kung Fu Hustle is so funny! Everyone has to see this movie. The graphics were good, and it was really funny. For some reason it felt like it had similarities to black comedies. I think it had something to do with all the cursing. I don't know exactly how to explain it. You just have to see it. It opened in NYC and LA this weekend early, so he wasn't expecting us to see it, so that was a big surprise. I really enjoyed myself, me and my baby...
Then we got back, and fucked all night. LOL.

[i'm kidding... it was in the morning.]

  • I too am glad that you are happy and experiencing love. (I'm a little sensitive to what being in love means and it varies by the person, so if you are in love then I'm glad you are happy, experiencing love, and are in love too :-P).
It sounded like a great night out, pretty good way to commerate your new relationship with him. It made me smile and think how nice. I babysat for a professor that took his wife out on Friday, this post and that reminds me of the good parts of relationships, since nowadays I tend to only see the responsibility part.

Keep loving and living, me :-)
